Method And Approach |
|
| The Learner
is brought through various discussion topics which are discussed by peers,
partners, and the group. Topics include standard normal conversational
topics including topics such as Friends and Family, Education and
learning, Cities, Day and night, Generally speaking, Interpersonal
relationships, News, Values, Complaining, and Dilemmas.
Although the book does provide for various topics, the lessons tend to be for a lower level learner and may prove to be somewhat monotonous for advanced learners. The books used are the New Interchange Series as well the advanced Passages books by the same publishers. The books provide for Information - based tasks, Oral exercises, Listening exercises, Grammar exercises as well as reading and writing if desired by the learner. |

Approach Notes |
|
| The basic approach used is communicative approach to learning. The book series itself provides for very little exact instructional time, however provides for a large amount of student talk time. The student is recommended to speak most of the time of the class and the class tends not to be teacher centered. | |
