Learning Tools

The learner can read along with the lecturer while receiving the lecture. This allows them to build up to an advanced ability of removing the assisted learning technique with a very strong listening capability while the lecturer models a complete structure of input in a formal. While in a passive state the learner is free to take notes of the usage of language, patterns, and standard words delivered as a foundation of the actual technical concepts introduced.

Method And Approach

Lectures in the classroom for learning topics in English allow the student to learn and model the language without the pressure of tasks. Each two hour lecture allows the student to read and listen the words, sentences, and phrases to use as a model, gain experience in listening, and obtain multiple examples to form a recognition of common words used to generalize the patterns of language. 

For beginning students, the class is used for generalizing the language in a passive non-pressuring environment to increase exposure to the language, vocabulary, and overall language experience. Advanced students have the same experience and benefit of the class with an additional total understanding capability to obtain and build a fundamental constructive base of the English language.

The 1 hour discussion period at the end is used for actual use of the language, working out meanings in a social peer framework and discussion between members of the group and the teacher, allowing for an immediate use of the language and concepts learned that day.

Approach Notes

Like the Communicative and Task methods this allows for the building of a usable language vocabulary with extensive models of sentence patterns, phrases, and language points, in a natural manner while focusing on a completely different topic and subject point. Turning the point to learning about Social Psychology, with stories, concepts, and vocabulary, the student  is not asked to learn the language, but to go beyond the language approach to use the language immediately allowing for a better understanding of the language itself. In standard learning programs used today, very often the student is restricted by set language patterns and learning inefficiency because of the reduced speed of very often, unnatural phrases and sentence patterns that are taught in the classroom. This approach removes that inefficiency and unnatural tendency of the teacher and allows the student to learn from a greater foundation and speed thus increasing the speed of which the language is learned and the value of their educational experience.
